Fundraising

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! The cost of adopting our child is about $32,000. Um, yeah... took my breath away too. This is a daunting amount but we know that God will provide, as he always has. There is no price too high that will prevent us from connecting with the child God has already destined to be ours!

Our fundraising thermometer reveals not only what we have raised through fundraisers and generous donations from you, but also includes what we are personally saving for the adoption. We want to be completely transparent with you, as you donate to our cause. We are committed to cutting our budget and saving where necessary in order to raise the money. I'd be glad to share the ways we are revamping our budget to get these funds raised for our little Emily, at any time. We love you all and expect you to hold us accountable as we ask for your help in raising money!

We have a separate page on this blog that explains the breakdown of all our adoption expenses. This information has been given to us from our adoption agency, who has much experience with these associated costs. 

For our first fundraiser, we held an "Adoption Doughnut Day" on Saturday, May 4th. We sold Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts by the dozen and handed them out with coffee at our house. It was a huge success and such a blessing for us. Click HERE to see pictures from our fun morning!

For our second fundraiser, we have had t-shirts designed to celebrate our adoption. They are currently on sale for $20. You can take a look at the t-shirt and get complete information by clicking HERE.

Do you brew coffee at home? If so, try the "Just Love" variety! By ordering coffee through www.justlovecoffee.com/lomanadoption, a portion of your purchase will go towards our adoption expenses. We have tried a couple of their blends and y'all... this is one good cuppa' Joe! 

On Saturday, September 7th, we were chosen to the be the beneficiary of a craft beer raffle at Tales & Ales at the New Orleans Fairgrounds. We raised $940 at this event! Thank you to Blue Deuce Entertainment for offering us this opportunity!

Our biggest fundraiser was held on Saturday, November 16th, from 3-6pm at the Terra Bella Village square. We partnered with an amazing organization called (un)adopted, to bring orphan awareness to the community. This spectacular event featured live music, delicious food, children's activities, and a silent auction! We raised $8,018 this day and contributed $1,000 to (un)adopted.
